Casa Thomas is located in a small agricultural village near Cologne. The experience of a flowing transition of the living spaces into the open nature and the fitting of the building with modern architectural language into a building gap was the essential theme of the architectural design. All living spaces on the first floor as well as on the upper floor are oriented towards the garden and the roof terrace, respectively.
The roof form had to be designed as a hip roof, because otherwise it would not have fit into the local structure.
